Norway Travel and Natural Resources

Photo take from:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_national_parks_of_Norway
The green numbered areas show how many National Parks there are.

Norway is an outdoor enthusiast’s Mecca, there are so many activities one can take part in. It is no doubt they are among one of the richest natural resource countries in the world.
Norway has over 35 National Parks, each of which has their own beauty and peace at which they can give one individual. It is a great place one can take the whole family and find something to excite everyone.
The vast majority of the country is covered with mountains, lakes and forests. The land has an abundant supply of resources, these include: petroleum, natural gas, iron ore, copper, lead, zinc, titanium, pyrites, nickel, fish, timber, hydropower.
30% of Norway’s exports is petroleum. It is no doubt that though the recent worlds recession hit and most of Europe has seen the worst of it, Norway still sits today at a low, but above zero GDP.
The crime rate is low and the activities rank high. You can fish and ski on the same day. Other outdoor activies on can take part in is camping, hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, deep sea, river, lake fishing, climbing, spelunking you name it, you can do it. Even some of the National Parks have cabins you can hike to and spend the weekend in, in the backcountry.

  1. Brilliant contribution Heather! Norways success in petroleum is what initially drew me to choosing them to research. This is fantastic information.
